July 28, 2007 Redlands Run

Can you scream like a little girl. Michelle managed to kick a cactus and started yelling. We were on the trail by the whiterocks (Wildwood Trail). It was about 6:00 am, a lady came out of her house and asked that we be more considerate as people are sleeping. (She was actually pretty nice about the whole thing) Then Heidi did a drop and roll, ripping her running pants and drawing blood. No screaming, however.

We started with a bunch of FRunners but only 3 actually made it the 17 miles, congratulations to Stephen, Kami and Michelle. The rest of us are slackers... Betsy, Jeena, Jill, Jason, John, Carla, Suzy, Brad, and Heidi.

Herd on the Run:
Goute, IT Band, Cactus, Blood, Hot.....

The Course:
We ran up Star Canyon to the trail, to wildwood, then around south Camp (Lost some people) to Albertsons, (Lost more people) then around the trail to redlands parkway (Lost some people)and then up South Broadway back to the Kohls. It turns our 17 miles is a long way.

July 21, 2007 Monumnet Run

The run was down the Fruita side of the Monument, 13 miles for some 16+ for others. The run started with a nice view of Glade Park. One mile into the run was a porta potti. Stephen was brave enough to use it. "He put a bit of icing on the cake" Not sure what that means but other such as Kami could not handle the heat so they got out of the Kitchen (better than the cake saying) It was a nice run with Carla, John, Kellie, Michelle, Kami, Jason B, Stephen and Suzy.

There was a couple of stops on the run for water, but none at the bottom for those running a few extra miles.

Herd on the Run:
Kellie's cooler was taken by the mosquitoes the other week-When she went back to get it, it was gone-Big Mosquitoes

The course:
Started on the fruita Glade Park road, where the pavements starts, ran down, down hill.

July 14th-Mary's and More Fun

The run was Mary's Loop for some and Mary's to More Fun for others. Ken made an impressive apperance, having not run more than 4 miles since High School. He ran over 8 miles. Hopefully, his wife will help him out of bed on Sunday. We had a bunch of FRunners, Kami, Jason L, Jason B, Kellie, John, Carla, Stephen, Jill and Michelle.

The run did not get posted until late Friday. Sorry to those who missd the run. The Webmaster will do better, by Wednesday at the latest. The run was rather uneventful, there were less stops for some reason to drink water and talk about the weather.

Herd on the Run:
Stephen talked about his new shoes-He got them for father's day. They looked nice and fast.
Medicare issues and insurance-co pays and prolonging the life of those who do not take care of themselves.
Red Meat, Soda and Running brought on my condition, I am better now-Jason B.

The Course:
All runners ran the first part of Mary's, then we split up, some going over the top on more fun and others completing Mary's. At the end we had some drinks. Carla forgot her watch so we can not post the course

July 7, 2007 Run

The attack of the killer Mosquitoes; I am not sure if it was because all the girls smelled like wet goats or if it was just crazy mosquito day; There must of been thousands of mosquitoes biting at M and 18rd, Turns out it was not a good place to put the water/gatorade, Kellie. Kellie did end up with about 100 bites on her legs.

Jason could not run because his toe hurt. Turns out he has a real medical condition. Carla, John, Stephen, Kellie, Slyvia. Michelle, Suzy and Kami ran the Fruita loop, Some running about 11 and others 15. Some other FRunners, Jill, Betsy, Amy, Celeste, Gena and others? (I forgot who) ran and biked at Mary's.
