July 29, 2008

Girls went on a bike ride. They left the kohls and went around the river trail.

Amy is worried she has twins, she should not be woried she probably has triplets. It is good to see Betsy back in the Saddle.

People have been doing all kinds of things, although I have no specifics. Fruita had a triathlon and Greg and Andrea's kids and others participated. The running course was not well marked....

For the run today some (Michelle) in Fruita wanted to run 17 miles. Michelle did not make it, but I suppose later she walked around her house to get all the miles in.

Carla has been feeling a bit under the weather the last few weeks, claims pond water has sicken her. She wanted to run closer to home for emergency puposes. Some us us ran 6 miles on Saturday, up and around wildwood trail. We came back on the road, to Jill's dismay it was longer.

Getting ready....

Nicholas had a flat tire, so he went home and watched tv.

We went to Schnooks Bottom to Swim. It was much warmer than last time. After the Swim there was a bike ride up South Broadway and then a run on the trail. Some just swam others just bikes, some did it all. It is always nice to get out. Of course we started at 6:00am and had to walk into the "Lake". Greg got there early as he had to get to work........

Kristen, Andrea, Heather, Jill, Kenny, Jeena, Michelle, Carla, John, Greg, Stephen and Doug

We had a good group and ran up to Independence Monument. We had a couple new FRunners show up, Greg and Heather. Greg did the Highline Hustle with us a couple weeks ago. Greg ran his farthest run to date and Heather was nice and just jogged along not making us run too fast (She broke her ankle just a few months back).

It was a nice run. Always nicer running back. Where are those Mountain Sheep that almost ran over Betsy.. Perhaps we need Betsy to lure them back.

We got to Independence Monument and Michelle needed two tenths of a mile more, so she got Kenny and I think Andrea to run with her. The rest of us enjoyed the views while the ran around. Greg tripped and did a comando roll, getting a bloody leg in the process. It is always nice to see a little blood, as long as it is not yours...

Doug was waiting for us at the parking lot. He and a few including Michelle, Stehen, Kenny and Andrea ran to fruita.
