Sept 22, 2007

There were 10 FRunners, Carla, Sylvia, Jason L, Jason B, John, Stephen, Kami, Kellie, Michelle, and Suzy. We ran in Fruita around the Gofers stores and then up and around the Fruita Loop. The run was 12 miles and water/gatoprade was provided. Nobody seemed to feel to well and Kami "Short-Cut Sally" started leaving the group, to deal with some issues.

Other FRunners are doing their training runs, Brad, Jill, Heidi, Janice and Jeena. I have not heard from the others....

The Photos did not come out.

Sept 8, 2007

A group of Frunners met at Mary's Loop and decided to go back to Fruita and run. It was dark and there were only 4 people. Kami, Michelle, Jason L and John. They went back to Fruita to run. Jason L and John ran only a few miles and saw Jason B and Kellie who were putting in their 20. It was a relatively uneventful run. Not even a picture.

Jill Harmon was ready to go but Carla stayed in bed and John forgot to pick her up.... She wins Frunner of the week for her forgiveness.

Sept 1, 2007-Stephen Loops

Stephen organized a nice run. Two nice loops with plenty of Water and Gatorade. Some ran about 11 miles and others 21 miles. John, Carla, Jason L, Kami, Suzy, Michelle and Stephen ran. Other Frunners ran their own courses, rode their bikes, or stayed in bed (Betsy [has legitimate excuse], Doug [likes to sleep])

The run started at Stephens house, except for Michelle who ran over and Suzy who did walk over, a few extra blocks. The course went north on 17 road then across to 16 road, which had a nice hill than back to Stephens house. This was around 11 miles. John and Carla had enough and left. The rest of them ran Megan's loop backwards for another 10 miles.

There were a few dogs on the course that came out to bark at us. A few potty breaks (in the bushes) stretch IT band breaks and talking breaks. It was a nice casual run. The mosquito were out and biting, not as bad as the one run a month or so back. The views were great and hardly any traffic.

Half way picture.

August 25, 2007-Fruita Run

As Stephen said "Our new motto is 'Running from our Wives'. (Does Stephen have more than one?)

Many Frunners did there own thing and some were out of town. So four men ran together with matching shirts. We paired off as we ran, to make sure we did not seem too non-hetrosextual... John with Stephen and Jason with Jason... mmm why not Jason with Stephen, i wonder if his shirt was to tight....

It was the first time on the group run that only men showed up.
It was a good run as we ran past Moon farm and wondered how they grew moons. Jaons B and John took a short cut home, saving them a couple miles. Stepen and Jason L finished the loop.
Four very happily married FRunners

July 28, 2007 Redlands Run

Can you scream like a little girl. Michelle managed to kick a cactus and started yelling. We were on the trail by the whiterocks (Wildwood Trail). It was about 6:00 am, a lady came out of her house and asked that we be more considerate as people are sleeping. (She was actually pretty nice about the whole thing) Then Heidi did a drop and roll, ripping her running pants and drawing blood. No screaming, however.

We started with a bunch of FRunners but only 3 actually made it the 17 miles, congratulations to Stephen, Kami and Michelle. The rest of us are slackers... Betsy, Jeena, Jill, Jason, John, Carla, Suzy, Brad, and Heidi.

Herd on the Run:
Goute, IT Band, Cactus, Blood, Hot.....

The Course:
We ran up Star Canyon to the trail, to wildwood, then around south Camp (Lost some people) to Albertsons, (Lost more people) then around the trail to redlands parkway (Lost some people)and then up South Broadway back to the Kohls. It turns our 17 miles is a long way.

July 21, 2007 Monumnet Run

The run was down the Fruita side of the Monument, 13 miles for some 16+ for others. The run started with a nice view of Glade Park. One mile into the run was a porta potti. Stephen was brave enough to use it. "He put a bit of icing on the cake" Not sure what that means but other such as Kami could not handle the heat so they got out of the Kitchen (better than the cake saying) It was a nice run with Carla, John, Kellie, Michelle, Kami, Jason B, Stephen and Suzy.

There was a couple of stops on the run for water, but none at the bottom for those running a few extra miles.

Herd on the Run:
Kellie's cooler was taken by the mosquitoes the other week-When she went back to get it, it was gone-Big Mosquitoes

The course:
Started on the fruita Glade Park road, where the pavements starts, ran down, down hill.

July 14th-Mary's and More Fun

The run was Mary's Loop for some and Mary's to More Fun for others. Ken made an impressive apperance, having not run more than 4 miles since High School. He ran over 8 miles. Hopefully, his wife will help him out of bed on Sunday. We had a bunch of FRunners, Kami, Jason L, Jason B, Kellie, John, Carla, Stephen, Jill and Michelle.

The run did not get posted until late Friday. Sorry to those who missd the run. The Webmaster will do better, by Wednesday at the latest. The run was rather uneventful, there were less stops for some reason to drink water and talk about the weather.

Herd on the Run:
Stephen talked about his new shoes-He got them for father's day. They looked nice and fast.
Medicare issues and insurance-co pays and prolonging the life of those who do not take care of themselves.
Red Meat, Soda and Running brought on my condition, I am better now-Jason B.

The Course:
All runners ran the first part of Mary's, then we split up, some going over the top on more fun and others completing Mary's. At the end we had some drinks. Carla forgot her watch so we can not post the course

July 7, 2007 Run

The attack of the killer Mosquitoes; I am not sure if it was because all the girls smelled like wet goats or if it was just crazy mosquito day; There must of been thousands of mosquitoes biting at M and 18rd, Turns out it was not a good place to put the water/gatorade, Kellie. Kellie did end up with about 100 bites on her legs.

Jason could not run because his toe hurt. Turns out he has a real medical condition. Carla, John, Stephen, Kellie, Slyvia. Michelle, Suzy and Kami ran the Fruita loop, Some running about 11 and others 15. Some other FRunners, Jill, Betsy, Amy, Celeste, Gena and others? (I forgot who) ran and biked at Mary's.

June 16th Run-Fruit Loop

We had an average turn out for the group run. We ran the Fruit Loop. Some of us were in a hurry, so we did not stop at the Brady's on 19 RD but appreciated the opportunity; The runners included Silvia (who should come every time), John, Jason, Suzy, Kami, Kellie, and Michelle. (Click on pictures to enlarge)

There was some mumbling about not stopping. At about the 4 mile point with Kellie and Kami thinking they were in College again, (they have babies) running as if it were the Olympic Trails, stopped to see how far everyone was behind them and then took off again. Michelle uttered a few words of condemnation and added a few comments in sign language (in case there were deaf people around, she is always so considerate)
Jason assumed there would be water at about the same point, but there was none. His spirits sank and was not the same the rest of the run. Michelle said she was going to put water out.....there was water at the Brady's-Silvia's Parents house- about 7.5 miles into the run. Suzy was feeling better after some health issues last week.

Silvia ran with the Yester-Year College girls to the Brady's. The group split up at about that point as the number of miles needed and schedules dictated running back.

In the end John and Jason sat in his pool, enjoying the coolness. Kami, who ran farther showed up later. It seems that Jason did not check on the kids before going into the pool. I assume they have worked it out. Leave comments below:

June 9, 2007- Mary's Loop Run

There were some issues with the run as the starting time was not clear. Some FRunners were up a bit earlier than others. Betsy was up early. We had some first time runners with us; Jeena and Lindsey. Also Janice and Hiedi who do not run with the group much. We also saw Melanie and Sheri (?) running.

Herd on the Run:
"People go down this road too fast and I am going to be hit"--Old Crazy Man walking down the middle of the road, so people would slow down
"Pool syram"-Jason-Mary's Loop Backwards
"I am running by myself" Jason B.-after seeing all the ladies-(He needed 16 miles-far more than the rest of us)
Doug learned some jokes at Training-something about a rat-Michelle
"Did you go to Jimmy Johns"-Kellie

Course: Mary's Loop backwards for some, That plus Horse Thief for others and More Fun and Mary's for Jason. From 5 miles to 16 depending on the route.

The runners: Jeena, Lindsey, Hiedi, Janice, Carla, Jill, Betsy, Kami, Suzie, Michelle, Jason B., Jason L, Kellie, Kami -For some reason no picture of Kami and Jill-must of been in the Ladies Room.

Please post comments about the run:
