March 29, 2008

Anthor nice run today. Some of the FRunners got up at 4:45AM to run, Got to get the miles in before Soccer games and such. Some ran about 10 miles before others showed up. Don Ross came today, New Eye candy for the giorls. Two week in a row. Someone forgot to tell Kenny we were running.....

Don is training for the Half marathon in SLC. Amy is running the marathon in SLC. Also training are Jason B, Kami and Kellie for the Boston Marathon and Carla for her Phoenix IronMan. The rest of us are runing, cause we got nothing else to do. We had Jason B, Don, Andrea (Good to see her with the group), Michelle, Kami, Kellie, Carla, Amy, and John.

As a note Jason B ran 26 trail miles on Friday out by Mary's Loop, a few more than he wanted......

There were Frunners running all over. Some more crazy than others. Kenny and Mike from SF showed up to run with us. We had not seen Mike for a while. He looked as fit as ever.

The girls had not seen a new man in a while so Kenny was a welcome addition. Some ran 5, others 10 and some 20 or so. It was a nice day for a run. Suzy, John, Carla, Jason B, Kellie, Michelle, Kenny, Kami, Jason L, Amy and Mike.

March 1, 2008 Run

It was very nice weather for a run. We had Amy, Jill, Jeena, Carla, John, Michelle, Doug, Jason B., Kelly, Kami, Kristin, Lauren, Brittanie and Jason L. We had not seen Jason L for a while. He was in secret training. It seems Andrea did not answer the door when Kristen came over... we missed you.

The run was two Fruita Loops-10 miles a loop. Some went for one loop, others one loop plus some and others two loops. We had a nice stop with drinks and the signs that were ran over last week had been replaced.

The questionof the run...why school buses are yellow-Per Wikipedia..

School bus yellow is a color which was especially formulated for use in United States school buses in 1939. The color is now officially known in the U.S. as National School Bus Glossy Yellow and was originally called National School Bus Chrome. In April of that year, Dr. Frank W. Cyr, a professor at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York organized a conference that established national school-bus construction standards, including the standard color of yellow for the school bus. It became known officially as "National School Bus Chrome." The color was selected because black lettering on that hue was easiest to see in the semi-darkness of early morning.... there you go, it is about the lettering.
