People have been doing all kinds of things, although I have no specifics. Fruita had a triathlon and Greg and Andrea's kids and others participated. The running course was not well marked....

For the run today some (Michelle) in Fruita wanted to run 17 miles. Michelle did not make it, but I suppose later she walked around her house to get all the miles in.

Carla has been feeling a bit under the weather the last few weeks, claims pond water has sicken her. She wanted to run closer to home for emergency puposes. Some us us ran 6 miles on Saturday, up and around wildwood trail. We came back on the road, to Jill's dismay it was longer.

Getting ready....

Nicholas had a flat tire, so he went home and watched tv.

We went to Schnooks Bottom to Swim. It was much warmer than last time. After the Swim there was a bike ride up South Broadway and then a run on the trail. Some just swam others just bikes, some did it all. It is always nice to get out. Of course we started at 6:00am and had to walk into the "Lake". Greg got there early as he had to get to work........

Kristen, Andrea, Heather, Jill, Kenny, Jeena, Michelle, Carla, John, Greg, Stephen and Doug

We had a good group and ran up to Independence Monument. We had a couple new FRunners show up, Greg and Heather. Greg did the Highline Hustle with us a couple weeks ago. Greg ran his farthest run to date and Heather was nice and just jogged along not making us run too fast (She broke her ankle just a few months back).

It was a nice run. Always nicer running back. Where are those Mountain Sheep that almost ran over Betsy.. Perhaps we need Betsy to lure them back.

We got to Independence Monument and Michelle needed two tenths of a mile more, so she got Kenny and I think Andrea to run with her. The rest of us enjoyed the views while the ran around. Greg tripped and did a comando roll, getting a bloody leg in the process. It is always nice to see a little blood, as long as it is not yours...

Doug was waiting for us at the parking lot. He and a few including Michelle, Stehen, Kenny and Andrea ran to fruita.

Michelle, John, Carla, Jill, Kellie, Stephanie and Lara

Yes, there is always three photos..

Donuts after the run. Some people had more than one.

We miss the Lynns.... it was a nice run.

We ran Mary's loop backwards minus the road part. Don's wife Lara showed up. She claimed to have run only 3 miles previously, Sounds alot like Jason L-Two mile Lynn- who eventually ran a marathon and a couple half marathons. It was nice to have another new face but some ladies were disappointed that Don was not there, he claims that he needed to be with the kids, one word, call Madison Kohls and she will watch them. Jason B did not show up either, he stayed with the kids... in their cardboard boxes, as they are homeless at the moment. One word, Catholic Outreach 12:00, good food. There were other no shows, Paternity leave is over...

Michelle and Kellie ended up running some cirlces around the parking lot to make sure they got all their miles in.... crazy, who is in charge, the gps watch or you. Jill showed some sprinting abiilities at the 6 mile mark as she sprited for the restrooms, She is fast. She said she now understands why Betsy used her gloves one day.... Stephanie brought her dogs and will be the new lead runner of the group when the barney's leave. That means she is in charge of drinks. Carla ran and had stuff bulging out of her shorts like some kind of beatiful bag lady.

We had a nice goup, only one man enough to run, however. There were donuts after the run.

May 24, 2008

We ran the short Megan/Fruit Loop. Mike (Michelles and Kami's dad) ran with us. It was good to see him. He says he has slowed down but seems plenty fast for the rest of us.

We ran about 6-7 miles. We had Christin, Michelle, Mike, Jason, Jill, Carla, Jeena, John, and Kellie on the run.
The Barneys are leaving this month to go back to school. Thye have sold there house and have found a home to live in Indiana. They are homeless at the moment. Donnation can be sent to FRunners, in care of John.
Christin is feeling much better. It is good to see her out running.
It has been almost two years since we got our shirts. I think we can pull a few sponsers together for some new ones... Besty.

May 17th, 2008

A nice trail run at starting at Mary's. We had a new face for our Saturday run, although she has been running with the Frutia group some durring the week. We like to welcome Stephanie to the FRunners group. I think it is time we got some new shirts.... and Betsy is back from having a baby and ran with us. Good to see her out. Someone told Kenny we were running..... He is getting a bit fast.

We started at mary's loop and ran to another loop and ran back. It was a nice day and run. Stephanie brought her two dogs and they seemed a bit tired at the end (They probably ran 10 times farther than us) There were a bunch of moutain bikers camped out, we saw a few on the trail but most were still in bed when we left.

We had Carla, Jill, Betsy, Michelle, Kellie, Andrea, Stephanie, Jason, Kenny and John
